Today we saw God's miraculous provision. We began the week asking for prayers. Now look at all He did to answer and provide for His people! Thank you for standing with us in prayer and for giving so generously. To God be the glory!

Today, ESMI met with twenty pastors who are the presidents of the different pastoral leagues in the south. These men oversee about 500 pastors with an estimated 125,000 members. Because many of these men lost their homes, it was best to first minister to them and then empower them to minister to their constituents and communities. ESMI will transport the food to their respective communities for these men and their leaders to do the distribution. By doing it this way, more people are cared for and food riots avoided.
 Food distribution was also happening at the same time in Jeremie today. Here a church member is repacking the rice, beans, corn, wheat, etc, into smaller packages for individual families. In both distributions, Cayes and Jeremie, a stipend is given to each family to purchase water, oil, soap, and other personal hygiene items. The reason for doing this: 1) the bank has not been open since the quake, and 2) majority of the families served do not have any money.
PRAISE & PRAYER REQUESTS
- We praise God for all the medication received today
- Thank the Lord that 55% of the funds requested yesterday are already in or promised. Trusting God for the remaining funds.
- Another ministry partner will give ESMI 50,000lbs of rice next week to distribute. This will be about 5 truck loads.
- Thankful for the medical team heading to the south soon. Pray for their safety and ministry
- Tomorrow will mark one week since the quake. Pray for the many who are still suffering, wounded, and traumatized. Pray that God will raise a trauma team to help the people deal with this painful tragedy

draw people closer to Jesus!
