Special Update from Pastor Dony and the ESMI Board

Dear ESMI Supporter,
As you likely have heard, things in Haiti have become even more challenging in the past year, and they remain as difficult as I've ever seen. I'm writing to ask for your help.
Haiti has fallen victim to natural disasters of hurricanes and earthquakes and has now spiraled into further crisis as gangs control most of the nation’s capital and ports of entry. This has resulted in not only rising fuel costs and food shortages but has also forced the exodus and evacuations of NGO’s and other sources of help.
I, and the board of directors of El Shaddai Ministries, are very grateful for your past support of our long-standing ministry within Haiti. The Lord has graciously used your gifts to enable ESMI to plant over 200 churches across the nation, educate thousands of children, train over four hundred pastors, and enable scores of Haitian-owned businesses, while also helping hundreds of widows and orphans with shelter and food. We praise the Lord as He has multiplied your gifts to bring His mercy and grace to so many in this strife-torn country.
And now, once again, we ask for your financial help. In the middle of this harsh reality, ESMI continues to share the gospel, plant churches, train pastors, educate children, and supply care for the widows and orphaned/abandoned children. The need is greater than it has ever been, and our continued Gospel efforts have significantly depleted our resources.
How can you help? We have many ongoing and upcoming needs - and they continue to change as the situation on the ground changes:
$25,000 — Conducts Pastoral Training in safe places$
30,000 — Supports our radio ministry which reaches 3.5 million Haitians
$6,000 — Supplements the annual support of ten pastors
$8,000 — Covers the cost of a shipping-container of food
$1,000 -- Helps pay administrative expenses
Please lift these concerns and needs before the Lord and ask Him to raise up the resources which we desperately need as we continue this gospel work in His Name. If He calls you to participate, we will be grateful to Him and to you.
